The Vibe: Comfortable, hip and inviting. But noisy.
The Area: Although the area south Times Square, known as the Garment District, isn’t the prettiest (it certainly is chaotic), everything of Manhattan is at close range.
The DNA: With over 2,000m2 (22,000 sq ft) of event space and a whopping 612 rooms on offer, Moxy NYC Times Square is proof that style doesn’t need to come at a luxury price. The hotel’s developer, Lightstone, roped in a host of big names to this end: architects Stonehill Taylor were charged with remaking the former New Mills Hotel, built in 1907 while Yabu Pushelberg designed the room interiors.
Suite-Me-Up: All rooms here are small, even by New York standards. They are filled with custom-designed, foldaway furniture, wood-frame beds with hidden storage and open pegboard closets. Pillow-top mattresses are super comfy, and you’ll find essential amenities such as a safe, television, and Muk hair and body products.
