The DNA: Hip Ovolo Hotels has revamped the former Citadines Kuta Beach and rebranded it to MAMAKA by Ovolo. Ovolo, based in Hong Kong, operates some seriously stylish hotels in its home town, plus in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Canberra and aims to expand (further) into South East Asia, Australia, and New Zealand. The property consists of 182 studio rooms, nine one-bedroom suites (called “Swagger”) and three two-bedroom suites (“Top Gun”), an all-day dining restaurant, a rooftop pool and bar, a gym and conference facilities. The location is right across the street from Kuta Beach, a 10-minute walk to Beachwalk Shopping Centre and a 15-minute drive to Ngurah Rai International Airport.
