The Vibe: Art-filled contemporary boutique hotel with a Michelin star.
The Area: Set on a quiet cobbled lane just off Egyetem square in the city’s Pest-side Belváros district. This buzzy, central neighbourhood is full of restaurants, bars and boutiques, and skirts the mighty Danube.
The DNA: Hotel Rum owners George and Szonja Lefkovics are passionate travelers. Their experiences and impressions from around the world led them to create a truly unique boutique hotel with designs by Hungarian artists only, like Bara Studio, Position Collective, Zsuzsa Kertész, blending the authentic and the contemporary. Their first hotel adds to their empire of restaurants in Budapest, and also to a restaurant opened recently in Los Angeles. A welcome drink awaits you upon arrival. In season, enjoy signature cocktails and incomparable views from the rooftop TOP RUM bar. The hotel’s restaurant, “SALT” has a Michelin Star. Hungarian roots and flavors are the focal points here: the meat is from a family farm, and herbs and wild plants are hand-picked in the country by the chef himself.
Suite-Me-Up: Individually designed rooms come with air-conditioning, queen or king-sized beds, high-quality cotton sheets, and walk-in rainforest showers. Other room facilities include a safe, a minibar, a flat-screen satellite TV, a telephone, an electric kettle, hairdryer and original RUM bath products. Superior rooms also feature a seating area and a coffee machine.
