The Area: Right next to Helsinki’s Central Station.

The DNA: The Scandic Grand Central Helsinki is set in a stunning historic Art Nouveau building, formerly known as the head office of Finland´s railway company, designed by Eliel Saarinen and built between 1909 and 1936. The restoration and transformation process has paid great respect to the protected, highly valued building and was done in co-operation with the Finnish Heritage Agency. The northern wings of the original building are now connected by a modern new building, that utilizes Saarinen’s architecture and design language.

Suite-Me-Up: The spacious suite, located in the original part of the hotel with its wide window sills, paned windows and thick walls. The Suite has a decor of timeless elegance and comes with a living room area, private sauna and an indulgent rain shower in the stylish bathroom.
