The Vibe: New Alpine aesthetic.
The Area: Located in the UNESCO heritage-protected mountain village of Kastelruth (Castelrotto), the Schgaguler Hotel overlooks the breathtaking Schlern (Sciliar) range of the Dolomites.
The DNA: A decisively contemporary exterior contrasts with the more traditional Alpine rustic scene. Minimalist interiors fuse Italian, Scandinavian and Japanese styles. A public ski shuttle connects guests to the slopes, a 15-minute drive away. Guests can enjoy the gourmet restaurant which serves Alpine and Mediterranean classics and has a superb local wine list. The fireside bar opens onto a large terrace. The wellness area has 2 indoor pools, a hot tub, saunas (Finnish, Organic, Steam), and beauty treatments are available at an extra charge. The Melmarium mud bath and fitness studio complete the cycle of in-house wellness.
Suite-Me-Up: Luxurious, spacious, and bright, the rooms and roof-top suites all feature south facing balconies and mountain views. Design details include free-standing bathtubs by Monica Graffeom, Wishbone Chairs from Hans Wegner, Takeshi Nii iconic folding chairs on the balcony, Bjhon Washbasins by Angelo Mangiarotti and lighting from Santiago Roqueta.
