The DNA: Set in a historic building dating back to 1727 (and operating as an inn since 1820), Boutique-Hotel Schlüssel oozes charm and heritage turned contemporary boutique hotel. It is located in the village of Beckenried (canton of Nidwalden), between majestic mountains and on the shores of Lake Lucerne, the city being 10km away. The restaurant serves a set-menu based on fine seasonal and regional cuisine with many products from local farms. In the mornings enjoy a rich buffet. For ski lovers: 13 different ski areas can be found in the vicinity. The chic rooms come in three different sizes and are all individually decorated in a mix of vintage and contemporary. They feature free-standing baths (some with views over Lake Lucerne) and wooden floors. Mineral water and fruits, as well as Amici coffee and selected teas, are available free of charge at the guest table on each floor. Some rooms still have sinks from the Belle Epoque.
