The DNA: Located within Bali’s Green Village, Sharma Springs is its towering achievement: a 6 stories lotus-shaped villa, completely made out of bamboo – one of the world’s most sustainable building products. It is the work of Canadian born, Bali raised Elora Hardy, her inspiring TED talk “Magical houses, made of bamboo” can be watched below. The villa sleeps up to 12 people in five bedrooms and is fully contained, including a kitchen and swimming pool. The cocoon-esque spaces feel secluded, yet completely open up to the stunning tropical landscape.
