SLS Brickell | Miami

The Vibe: Starck-ish.

The Area: On South Miami Avenue, in Brickell, just steps from Downtown Miami and the Miami Design District, as well as an array of world-class shopping, fine dining and entertainment options. A BMW-7 series house car is available for transport within a three-mile radius.

The DNA: The prominent Arquitectonica designed, 55-story tower takes its cue from the lively movement of Brickell with a faceted bas relief pattern aiming to blur the lines between indoor and outdoor spaces. The 124-room SLS Brickell is located on the lower floors and 450 SLS-branded condo residences are set above. Infused with art, the property offers a sensory feast, from the arresting vision of Markus Linnenbrink’s mural to the striking lobby sculpture by Bernardi Roig. The luxury hotel features premier culinary options from two James Beard Award-winning chefs: Michael Schwartz with his first Italian concept Fi’lia, featuring fresh ingredients from the hearth and the simplicity of handmade artisanal breads and pasta. José Andrés presents Bazaar Mar, his latest creative culinary concept celebrating the bounty of the oceans, with a seasonal emphasis on Miami and the Caribbean. Jose Andrés will also oversee food and beverage for the property’s in-room dining, mezzanine and pool bar. A state-of-the-art fitness centre and the exclusive Ciel Spa caters to guests’ wellness and fitness needs, as well as the sprawling pool deck.

Suite-Me-Up: The rooms are modern, minimal and spacious in a colour palette of white, slate and pale pink. Each boasts a private terrace balcony, full-length framed mirrors resting against the walls (and mounted on the ceiling above the bed, cut in an amorphous shape) and smartly designed desk and lounge space. Bathrooms are modern with sharp angles, white tiles, chrome fixtures and an oversized shower.
