The Area: In Denver’s trendy RiNo (River North), a hotbed of creativity, with some of the coolest bars, restaurants and art galleries in the city. The Great Divide Barrel Bar, just opposite, and the Blue Moon Brewery, three blocks north, are two of the best. The hotel is four blocks from the 38th & Blake A-Line station, which connects Union Station, in the centre of town, to the airport.
The Vibe: The Source is an 1880s foundry building transformed into an artisan market hall and the adjacent, new hotel also features a market hall, a multi-purpose food, drink, gallery and retail space. Iconic American craft beer brand, New Belgium, have located themselves on the ground floor of the hotel, a ten-barrel system producing a constantly rotating tap list for Woods bar and restaurant on the hotel’s rooftop, and enabling guests to enjoy a fresh beer upon checking-in. Up on the expansive rooftop, a whopping 45 beers are available on draft. Smōk is a restaurant combining influences from the most iconic barbecue-making regions around the country, to Safta, where chef Alon Shaya prepares Israeli cuisine including freshly-baked hot pita from a wood burning oven to signature smooth hummus and lamb dishes. A rooftop pool offers some of the best Rocky Mountain views in the city.
Suite-Me-Up: Guest rooms feature a mix of polished concrete floors, contemporary furniture, custom Baltic birch casework and soft finishes by Winter Session. With intentions to bring the outdoors in, each room is a refuge of natural light and comfort, some providing views of the courtyard, others of the city or mountains. Up in the Skyline Suite, guests are treated to a custom sofa, wet bar, bespoke Calico wallpaper accents, and a freestanding Japanese-style soaking tub.
