The Area: In the cultured Cedofeita neighbourhood, also home to the city’s iconic Casa da Música. There is a metro stop nearby and the city centre is a 15-minute walk away.

The DNA: Sister to the Casa do Conto, the Tipografia has a similar aesthetic, albeit mixing in more green: wood and plants inside, a hidden-away courtyard and a leafy green garden complete with inviting swimming pool surrounded by trees and hammocks outside. Green is also the colour of the tiled bar, which doubles as the hotel’s breakfast area.

Suite-Me-Up: The bright-white bedrooms are decorated with toffee-coloured leather chairs, covetable antiques and are distributed between two historic buildings. For lashings of light and space, it’s hard to beat the modern, milk-white A5 Penthouse Suite, which is worthy of a Wallpaper magazine shoot.
