The DNA: Authentic Florentine hospitality and stunning interiors await at Velona’s Jungle Luxury Suites, a boutique b&b located on the third floor of an elegant mid-century palazzo. The owning family’s patriarch, Pasquale Velona, was a well-known Florentine antiques dealer in the mid-20th century, and his daughter Serena personally oversaw the renovation of their family home into suites. Granddaughter Veronica greets guests personally and shares tips to discover the very best of her native city. The vegetarian and vegan breakfast is served daily and includes local organic products with warm pastries, fresh muesli, artisan jams and juices, and organic yoghurt.

Suite-Me-Up: Just four suites feature impeccably styled, jungle-inspired decor with an eclectic blend of contemporary and vintage. There is black lacquered woodwork; rainforest-print textiles, wallpaper by Christian Lacroix and Ralph Lauren, mid-century furnishings, salamander door handles, feather-festooned lamps and original marble and parquet flooring.
