Viceroy Hotel Washington DC

Viceroy Washington DC

The Vibe: Straddling the fine line of a hip boutique hotel and a sound business hotel.

The Area: The Viceroy Washington DC is located along the 14th Street Corridor in the heart of the the Logan Circle neighborhood’s culinary and art scenes.

The DNA: Viceroy Hotels has opened its first outpost in Washington, DC, in the former Kimpton Mason + Rook Hotel. A striking mural on the façade by Brandon Hill, co-founder of No Kings Collective, sets the tone with a gallery featuring rotating exhibits of works by local artists, including a cardboard collage of DC-native Marvin Gaye and a llama print wearing the iconic rim glasses of former president Theodore Roosevelt. A café and wine bar with the largest patio off of 14th Street serves artisanal coffee, gourmet tea, and house-baked goods while a menu of wine, beer, cocktails and light bites is available as the sun sets. The rooftop offers an outdoor lounging space and a swimming pool. There’s more to come, including the opening of Hush, a seasonal rooftop cocktail bar, and of the contemporary Dovetail bar and restaurant.

Suite-Me-Up: Rooms feature calming, neutral color palettes and are among the largest in town. Amenities include no-touch Google NestHub “virtual concierges”, ample workspaces while custom-curated jazz playlists further keep the D.C. connection going.
