Villa Pedra Natural Houses | Cotas, Portugal

The Vibe: Contemporary country.

The Area: Villa Pedra Natural Houses is located in the Serra do Sicó in the centre of Portugal, not far from the delightful city of Coímbra with its imposing uptown university. Also nearby are the Roman ruins at Conimbriga and the endless beaches of the Silver Coast. The peaceful surroundings invite to walk and cycle.

The DNA: A village abandoned for over seventy years, Villa Pedra Natural Houses today is an unusual boutique hotel of restored former village houses. The owners discovered the village of Aldeia de Cima some years ago and was taken by its beauty, deciding to give it a new lease on life for future generations. Carefully respecting the spirit of the region, old construction techniques were used to recover the blocks walls covered with ochre and lime to preserve the aesthetic and ecological basis, ensuring absolute comfort all year long.

Suite-Me-Up: Not suprisingly, all houses at Villa Pedra are different. They range in size and have one or two bedrooms. Common is their stylish decoration, fusing the antique and the contemporary with vintage pieces in between. Comfort features includes heating, fully equipped kitchens, bathrooms with shower and/or tubs, TV/DVD/CD player and internet, private gardens with terraces and barbecue.
