The DNA: The W Budapest, a few years in the making, showcases Marriott’s evolving W brand. It is set in the 1886 Drechsler Palace, previously home to the Hungarian State Ballet Institute. Rooms feature a colour palette of green, coral and deep blues and are paired with contemporary Zsolnay inspire tiles, stained glass features and jewellery-inspired light fittings. The hotel’s connection to ballet is reflected in the all-black Extreme WOW suite and all-white WOW suite – a celebration of the famous ballet Swan Lake. Three innovative dining concepts are influenced by Budapest’s rich history, creativity and diversity.
