Botanical textiles, smooth timber, tactile wall finishes, and subtle brass details soften the building’s monumental character, while balconies and terraces in selected rooms open directly onto Piazza Cordusio and the surrounding rooftops. The overall effect is polished but restrained, allowing the architecture and the city beyond to remain central. Nothing competes for attention. Everything feels carefully measured.

A Courtyard and Rooftops Reimagined

The internal courtyard forms the social heart of the hotel. Now covered by a glass-and-steel structure, it has become Giardino Cordusio, an elegant all-day space for coffee, cocktails, and evening aperitivo. Above, the rooftop terraces offer views towards the Duomo and Milan’s historic skyline, while Isola and Sachi introduce contrasting Italian and Japanese dining experiences in settings that feel closely connected to the city. Below ground, the spa offers a quieter rhythm. An indoor pool, sauna, steam room, and warm timber finishes provide a welcome retreat from the pace outside.
