Facing Old Church Park in central Helsinki, Hotel St. George occupies one of the city’s most historically significant buildings. Originally developed during the nineteenth century and completed in 1890 by architect Onni Tarjanne, the building has housed the Finnish Literature Society, the printing operations of Finland’s first Finnish-language newspaper, and numerous cultural institutions.
