Modernism Reimagined

Perianth occupies one of Athens’ finest surviving examples of 1930s Art Moderne architecture. Rather than simply restore the building, K-Studio created a contemporary interpretation of Athenian modernism. The original geometry remains intact while carefully considered interventions introduce new light, openness, and spatial clarity. The building’s unusual trapezoidal footprint becomes an architectural strength, with radial corridors leading towards bright communal spaces illuminated through glass-brick walls. History becomes the framework. Modern life fills the space.

Designed Around Light

Light is the defining material throughout the hotel. Large windows, glass bricks, terrazzo floors, grey marble, walnut panelling, and brass-framed mirrors create interiors that feel bright without excess. Contemporary Greek artworks, bespoke furniture, and custom lighting reinforce the architectural language, while uniforms designed by Sophia Kokosalaki extend the hotel’s attention to detail beyond the interiors themselves. Every surface reflects restraint. Every space feels balanced.

Contemporary Comfort

The hotel’s 38 guestrooms continue the same refined design language. Walnut bed frames, marble benches, brass detailing, bespoke furniture, and modular lighting create rooms that feel elegant without becoming formal. Soft pastel colours, dark flooring, and carefully proportioned layouts soften the building’s Bauhaus-inspired geometry. At the very top, the penthouse suite offers wraparound terraces, a plunge pool, jacuzzi, and uninterrupted views of both the Acropolis and Mount Lycabettus. Luxury feels quietly integrated. The architecture always leads.

A Different Rhythm of Athens

Perianth offers more than beautifully designed accommodation. Its café serves generous Greek breakfasts alongside Mediterranean cuisine throughout the day, while the hotel’s Zen Centre introduces yoga, meditation, and martial arts into the urban experience.
