Rather than embracing restrained elegance, Martin Brudnizki looked to the neighbourhood’s artistic history and the tradition of the Parisian literary salon. The Art of Maximalism

Brudnizki fills the interiors with colour, texture, and theatrical detail. Renaissance-inspired tapestries, scalloped furniture, floral wallpapers, pistachio-green lamps, embroidered fabrics, fringed seating, and richly patterned carpets coexist with mid-century furnishings and playful contemporary touches. Every surface reveals another carefully considered detail without ever feeling chaotic. The design is exuberant. Yet remarkably coherent.

Rooms with Character

The 61 guestrooms and suites continue the hotel’s distinctive visual language. Beds are framed by embroidered tapestry canopies depicting pastoral scenes, wardrobes conceal whimsical wallpapers, and vibrant palettes of emerald, coral, blush, and saffron create rooms that feel entirely individual. Marble bathrooms feature swan-shaped taps, generous showers, and Diptyque amenities, while complimentary refreshments add another thoughtful layer to the experience. Every room tells its own story. No two feel quite the same.

Boubalé and Beyond

The social heart of the hotel is Boubalé. Led by chef Assaf Granit, the restaurant celebrates the Ashkenazi traditions of the historic Jewish quarter through inventive contemporary cooking. Richly decorated interiors filled with floral motifs, warm timber, embroidered textiles, and softly glowing lighting create an atmosphere that is both intimate and lively. The restaurant belongs as much to Paris. As it does to the hotel.

Beneath the Streets

Below ground, another surprise awaits. A vaulted swimming pool beneath a striking Jean Cocteau-inspired fresco by Jacques Merle transforms the basement into one of Paris’s most memorable wellness spaces. Alongside the hammam, spa, and fitness room, it provides a calm counterpoint to the vibrant energy above. Even here. Design remains central to the experience.
