BURSA

The DNA

BURSA: Kyiv’s Creative Heartbeat in Boutique Form
A design-forward cultural hub where Bauhaus meets bistro, cinema, and art—all under one expertly curated roof.

A Tapestry of Past and Present

BURSA isn’t just a hotel—it’s an architectural and cultural conversation. Built across two restored heritage buildings and a sleek modern block, the property bridges more than centuries: it blends the old-world charm of 19th-century Kyiv with the clean, confident lines of contemporary Bauhaus minimalism. One of the original buildings once housed students of Ukraine’s oldest academy and was home to legendary city architect Andrey Melenskiy. Today, it forms the backbone of BURSA’s identity—historic, intellectual, and unapologetically creative.

Design-First, But Never Cold

Interiors across the complex are refined yet warm. Think monochrome palettes softened with curated antique details, buttery linens, and thoughtful lighting. The 33 guest rooms—playfully labeled “Nice,” “Super Nice,” and “Wonderful”—balance functional minimalism with layered comfort. Soft textiles, sleek bathrooms with bold color pops, Bluetooth HDTVs, stocked minibars, and ultra-inviting beds make for a stay that feels quietly indulgent. The 98m² Attic Room, with its private terrace, offers a truly elevated Kyiv experience.

Culture, On Demand

BURSA’s soul is creative. On the ground floor, Belyi Shum serves up French-bistro cool with a modern edge, its atmosphere shaped by restored Parisian and Norwegian chairs and an expertly tuned playlist. Up top, 1818 Rooftop Bar channels a cocktail-fueled energy with skyline views, while PARAKAL? (the basement music bar) adds a little underground grit. There’s also KINO42, a tiny, moody cinema screening indie and art-house films, and a contemporary gallery space that keeps the cultural pulse beating. For a quieter moment, the hotel’s 24/7 library is exclusively available to guests.

DNA Hotels Verdict

BURSA is more than a hotel—it’s Kyiv’s most stylish living room. From rooftop to cinema screen, from gallery to guest suite, it’s a playground for creatives, thinkers, and urban nomads who value aesthetic precision as much as personal comfort. Sophisticated without snobbery, intimate without feeling insular—BURSA is the place you check into and quietly wish you never had to leave.
