Casa Camper Berlin

The DNA

Casa Camper, Berlin
Minimalist hospitality with a soul in the heart of Berlin’s creative Mitte district.

Why DNA Hotels Loves It

● Camper’s signature blend of functional design, sustainability, and relaxed hospitality translated effortlessly into an urban boutique hotel.
● Thoughtfully designed rooms that prioritize comfort, simplicity, and clever functionality over unnecessary luxury.
● The legendary Tentempié lounge, offering complimentary snacks and drinks throughout the day in a genuinely generous, home-like atmosphere.

A Brand Reimagined for Hospitality

Following the success of its Barcelona original, Spanish footwear brand Camper brought its distinctive design philosophy to Berlin with Casa Camper Berlin. Located on lively Weinmeisterstraße in the heart of Mitte, the hotel reflects the neighborhood perfectly: creative, relaxed, and quietly confident. Surrounded by galleries, independent boutiques, cafés, and restaurants, the hotel sits within walking distance of Hackescher Markt, Museum Island, Alexanderplatz, and Unter den Linden. Like the Camper brand itself, Casa Camper avoids unnecessary extravagance, choosing authenticity, sustainability, and human warmth instead.

Design with Character

Designed by Fernando Amat and Jordi Tió, the interiors immediately feel unmistakably Camper. Signature shades of deep red contrast with soft pink seating, warm timber finishes, polished concrete, and carefully selected contemporary furnishings. Shelves filled with design books, magazines, and local publications reinforce the hotel’s creative personality without feeling staged. The atmosphere is modern and playful yet remarkably calm. Every space has been designed to encourage guests to relax, work, read, or simply spend time together, making the hotel feel more like a stylish apartment building than a conventional boutique hotel.

Rooms Designed Around Simplicity

The hotel’s 51 guestrooms embrace understated comfort. Signature Camper red walls, blonde wood, parquet flooring, and minimalist furnishings create spaces that feel warm rather than minimalist for minimalism’s sake. The unusual layout places the sink beside a large window, allowing natural daylight to become part of the daily routine, while the rain shower and toilet sit discreetly behind soft curtains. Instead of filling rooms with unnecessary technology or decorative excess, Casa Camper focuses on essentials done well: exceptionally comfortable beds, quality tea and coffee, Bluetooth speakers, Camper slippers and bathrobes, and thoughtful sustainable amenities. It is functional design at its very best.

Generosity Without Formality

Casa Camper’s greatest luxury remains its generosity. The seventh-floor Tentempié Lounge serves complimentary snacks and refreshments throughout the day and night, allowing guests to help themselves whenever they like. Fresh fruit, salads, sandwiches, pastries, nuts, olives, soft drinks, coffee, tea, and even evening aperitifs create an atmosphere that feels far more like staying with friends than checking into a hotel. Floor-to-ceiling windows offer sweeping views across northern Berlin, while the honesty-bar concept encourages guests to settle in, unwind, and enjoy the space at their own pace.

A Social Hub in Mitte

On the ground floor, Bar Basta has become a destination in its own right. Popular with both locals and visitors, it serves creative sharing plates, excellent cocktails, and an impressive wine list in a lively yet relaxed setting. Large retractable windows blur the boundary between restaurant and street, allowing the energy of Mitte to flow naturally inside. Combined with the welcoming lounge upstairs, Casa Camper succeeds in creating spaces that feel genuinely connected to the neighborhood rather than isolated from it.

Why it Works

Casa Camper Berlin proves that luxury doesn’t require excess. Thoughtful design, genuine generosity, sustainable values, and an atmosphere of effortless hospitality combine to create one of Berlin’s most likeable boutique hotels. For travelers who appreciate intelligent design, authentic service, and hotels with real personality, Casa Camper remains one of Mitte’s most rewarding places to stay.
