The Chloe
Uptown New Orleans Charm with a Decidedly Modern Soul

A Victorian Grande Dame, Reimagined

Set along stately St. Charles Avenue beneath a canopy of ancient oaks, The Chloe takes up residence in a 19th-century Victorian mansion—but this is no museum piece. Reimagined by local hospitality maverick LeBlanc + Smith with interiors by designer Sara Ruffin Costello, the 14-room hotel walks a tightrope between heritage and irreverence. Ornate woodwork and high ceilings remain, but they’re paired with jewel-toned velvets, tiger-print carpets, and vintage art that nods to New Orleans’ eccentric spirit. It’s Southern Gothic, but with a wink.

Rooms That Feel Like Personalities

Each of The Chloe’s rooms is distinct, dressed in layered textiles, antique armoires, and clawfoot tubs that invite lingering. There’s no copy-paste minimalism here—every space hums with personality, from artfully mismatched furniture to the curated vinyl records stacked beside the turntables. It feels like staying at the townhouse of your most stylish (and slightly mischievous) friend.

Where Locals Actually Hang Out

The Chloe isn’t just for travelers—it’s a scene. The palm-fringed pool and garden patio fill with locals sipping frozen cocktails, while the bar channels golden-hour energy that spills easily into the night. The restaurant, helmed by acclaimed chef Todd Pulsinelli, riffs on Gulf South flavors with verve: think blue crab tagliatelle, wood-fired okra, and the city’s best fried chicken, served without fuss or fanfare.

Old Soul, Fresh Energy

What makes The Chloe sing is its balance of contrasts. It’s laid-back yet precise, glamorous yet grounded in its Uptown neighborhood. Service is warm, witty, and just the right amount of knowing—welcoming without hovering, stylish without trying. Every corner reveals a little story, a little surprise.

DNA Hotels Verdict

More than a boutique stay, The Chloe is a love letter to New Orleans—its beauty, its contradictions, its restless creativity. A Victorian shell with a modern heart, it’s where old-world elegance dances effortlessly with today’s energy. Come for the style, stay for the soul.
