Hôtel Dame des Arts

The DNA

Hôtel Dame des Arts – Mid‑Century Soul with Parisian Edge
A Sensory Playground in the Latin Quarter, Where Retro Elegance Meets Creative Energy

A Retro‑Chic Reinvention

Set in a 1950s building that once housed a Holiday Inn, Hôtel Dame des Arts transforms a utilitarian structure into a vibrant retreat in Paris’s bohemian Latin Quarter. Its character is deeply rooted in mid‑century modernism, celebrating the optimism and fluid lines of the era while infusing them with contemporary urban flair.

Design – A Raphael Navot Original

The interiors, designed by Raphael Navot, highlight craftsmanship and materiality at every turn. A palette of smoked oak, fluted glass, textured stone, and striking Zimbabwean granite forms the hotel’s tactile language. Furniture and fixtures are custom‑designed, emphasizing curved profiles and seamless finishes that evoke the fluidity of 1950s design while avoiding pastiche.

Light floods the building, accentuating the richness of surfaces and creating an atmosphere that feels both sculptural and intimate. Fluted glass partitions cast soft, diffused shadows, while bespoke lighting fixtures double as functional art pieces. Every detail—down to custom handles and inlaid woodwork—reflects Navot’s signature blend of artisanal precision and quiet luxury.

Atmosphere – A Multi‑Sensory Experience

Hôtel Dame des Arts is designed as a sensory playground. A custom signature fragrance permeates the spaces, pairing with curated playlists created by the hotel’s resident DJ to establish an ever‑evolving auditory and olfactory identity.

The hotel’s lush garden—punctuated by tall palm trees and layered greenery—provides an idyllic open‑air retreat, perfect for morning coffee or late‑night conversation. The vibe is elevated further by culinary offerings crafted under the influence of a chef from the Experimental Group, known for its creative gastronomic approach.

Rooms & Suites – Warm Minimalism with Personality

Guestrooms carry forward the mid‑century spirit, using a warm palette and bold textures. Curved upholstered headboards, bespoke joinery, and soft natural linens create a cocooning effect, while fluted glass and stone accents add depth and light play. Several rooms open onto private balconies or terraces, offering glimpses of the Latin Quarter’s lively streets and rooftops.

DNA Hotels Verdict

Hôtel Dame des Arts distinguishes itself through an immersive design language and multi‑sensory hospitality philosophy. Raphael Navot’s interiors embrace craftsmanship, material richness, and mid‑century inspiration, while the hotel’s music, fragrance, and culinary experiences ensure a stay that feels deeply personal and inherently Parisian. It’s more than a boutique hotel—it’s a cultural expression of design individuality in the heart of the Left Bank.
