Les Roches Rouges – Côte d’Azur Calm, Mid-Century Modern Soul
Understated Luxury by the Sea
A Riviera Modernist Icon
Opened in 2017, Les Roches Rouges, a Beaumier hotel, reintroduced Riviera chic with its sleek 1950s modernist lines, perched dramatically on the Corniche d’Or overlooking the Île d’Or and red Estérel cliffs. Designed by Festen Architecture (Charlotte de Tonnac & Hugo Sauzay), the property celebrates simplicity and sea-view design with clean white volumes, natural stone, and panoramic vistas that blur building and horizon.
Modernist Lines, Mediterranean Light
Inside, interiors evoke Riviera elegance with a restrained palette of azure blue, deep ochre, and radiant white. Furnishings include vintage Provençal objects and minimalist pieces by designers like Charlotte Perriand and Antoine Ricardou, paired with earthenware wall lamps and Rosemarie Auberson paintings. Floor-to-ceiling windows and open layouts emphasize light, air and uninterrupted sea views.
Rooms for Relaxation and Reflection
With 67 rooms and suites, most offer sea views, terraces or private gardens, and some feature freestanding Barcelona baths and bespoke wooden bar counters. Suites blend refined comfort with thoughtful touches—marble bathrooms, vintage antiques, and carefully chosen art—while all rooms foreground the coast’s effortless serenity.
A Fresh Chapter by the Sea
In June 2025, the property unveiled a seafront expansion featuring 25 new rooms, a boutique spa, expanded terraces, a new restaurant (Estelo), cocktail bar, and a guinguette-style beachfront café (La Chicoula). Designed by Atelier Saint-Lazare’s Antoine Ricardou & Clémentine Larroumet, these additions echo the hotel’s original DNA—with floor-to-ceiling windows, private patios, and an understated tactile aesthetic.
Gastronomy & Wellness with a Riviera Heart
Dining options include Récif, the hotel’s Michelin-starred flagship, offering refined Mediterranean fare under Chef Alexandre Baule; Estelo, a relaxed terrace restaurant; and La Chicoula, a convivial beachside guinguette. Wellness spans sea-plunging rock pool, beachfront massage, yoga and Pilates terraces, and bespoke spa treatments by Maison Caulières.
DNA Hotels Verdict
Les Roches Rouges is a rare Riviera haven: audacious modernism, quiet luxury, and seafront elegance aligned perfectly with nature. With a smart expansion that honors its design legacy, this hotel remains a benchmark of Côte d’Azur hospitality—an ideal spot for travelers who want style, silence, and a horizon that beckons.
