Hotel Noelle: Nashville’s Art Deco Jewel in the Heart of Music City
history, glamour, artistry — Nashville, expressed as a hotel
Where Nashville’s Golden Age Gets a Modern Edit
Steps from Broadway — but on its own wavelength — Hotel Noelle is a time capsule that’s been rebooted for now. When the original Noel Hotel opened in 1930 it was the tallest building in town — an Art Deco symbol of Nashville’s up-and-coming swagger. Nearly a century later, the new Noelle returns with a fully modern point of view — the landmark restored, reimagined, and recast as a design-forward love letter to Music City.
This is not nostalgia. This is collaboration across time.
Showpiece Design, Crafted by Nashville’s Creative Class
The building’s bones are pure Deco geometry — and inside, that language continues: graphic lines, warm glows, lacquer, brass, vintage textures. Local makers — furniture fabricators, lighting designers, artists, craftspeople — were all intentionally activated in the reimagining. Noelle doesn’t “reference” Nashville creativity; it literally puts it in the walls, the furnishings, the lighting, the art.
Every guest room hums with that frequency: a little bit glam, a little bit intimate, and fully rooted in place.
Five Venues, Five Micro-Worlds
Noelle is a hotel that doubles as a cultural circuit — each bar + dining concept a totally distinct POV, each one a layer of story.
-
Makeready L&L – A sophisticated American tavern that blends heritage with bold Southern cooking.
-
Rare Bird – The rooftop bar with sweeping skyline views and a cocktail list as inspired as the scenery.
-
Trade Room – A refined lobby bar perfect for afternoon meetings or a post-show nightcap.
-
Drug Store Coffee – A nod to the building’s past, offering locally roasted brews in a stylish space.
-
Hidden Bar – A speakeasy-style gem with a rotating thematic design—Nashville’s best-kept secret (until now).
This is hotel-as-cultural program, not hotel-as-amenities list.
Downtown, Center Stage
From here it’s all walkable: Ryman. Country Music Hall of Fame. Broadway honky-tonk chaos — if you want it. Noelle gives you the option to dip in, dip out, and return to a sanctuary of design and good taste.
DNA Hotels Verdict
Hotel Noelle is how you do historic glamour in a city that’s perpetually remixing its myth. Deco architecture, contemporary craft, serious culinary vision, and an insider’s sense of culture — all in one building.
