An Artist’s Vision, Realized
Located in the historic Riad Zitoun Jdid neighborhood near Bahia Palace, Rosemary opened in September 2023, marking the first hospitality project from Belgian artist Laurence Leenaert (LRNCE) and her husband Ayoub Boualam. The intimate, five-room adults-only riad was the result of three years of collaborative design, involving over 40 Moroccan artisans.
Tradition Refreshed Through Design
The space feels both rooted and contemporary. Original features—courtyards, a Jacaranda tree, and a hammam—anchor the building’s medina heritage. Meanwhile, custom terrazzo floors, delicate stained glass, zellige mosaics, and carved cedar elements showcase LRNCE’s artful restraint. The palette is calm, textured, and intentional—an experience in feeling rather than show.
Intimacy Woven into Every Corner
With just five suites, Rosemary offers a low room-to-public-space ratio, allowing for a sense of privacy and discovery. The restful courtyard pool, rosemary-scented hammam steam, and sun-drenched roof terrace provide layered moments of retreat. On-site workshops, from ceramics to stained glass, invite guests to engage with the craftsmanship that defines the space.
