Stamna Sifnos – Cycladic Craft, Contemporary Calm
Where tradition, design, and serenity meet
A Ceramic Dream Realized
Opened in May 2025 by Cretan brothers Nikos and Costas Antimissaris, Stamna Sifnos is a tribute to the island’s storied pottery heritage. Built over 2½ years with sustainable principles and passionate local collaboration, the 20‑room property rests on a 13,000 m² hillside just 10 minutes from Apollonia’s center. “Stamna” means “ceramic vessel”—a fitting name, as the hotel blends artisanal craftsmanship with island-born simplicity.
Design Rooted in Place
Architects Tsimpos & Associates created a hotel that echoes Cycladic tradition: dry-stone terraces, olive-wood furniture, Naxos and Paros marble floors, and pergolas shaded by reed. Rooms feature the muted tones of brick red (ceramics), leaf green (gardens), and dusty blue (Aegean), and interiors include handcrafted silk, linen, and cast-iron details—each space named and designed as a tribute to local craft.
Rooms That Feel Like Homes
With just 20 rooms and suites, the hotel retains an intimate scale. Every accommodation opens to a private garden or terrace with sea views, and some include private plunge pools. Room types range from Cave Suites to a Suite with Private Pool, and a Friends & Family two-bedroom suite with a lush garden—ideal for groups or families.
Poolside Dining & Craft Culture
Restaurant Pilós—named after clay—serves farm-to-table Greek cuisine inspired by Sifnian tradition, blending seasonal vegetables, fish, legumes, and local wine under a pergola overlooking the sea. Guests can also unwind at the pool bar with light bites and regionally inspired cocktails. The onsite organic garden supplies many of the ingredients.
Wellness That Feels Human
Stamna lacks a formal spa—but wellness here is redefined: early morning yoga and Pilates, an outdoor gym, hiking trails straight from the hotel, and in-room massages amid olive groves. Sustainability is built-in—from rainwater collection and local materials to staff uniforms made from recycled textiles.
DNA Hotels Verdict
Stamna Sifnos is a rare example of new luxury born from ancient roots. It’s quiet yet luxurious, design-led yet rooted in place, offering a slow, sensory immersion into Cycladic life. For travelers seeking refuge above the blue horizon with real craft, real calm, and real connection, this is Greece reimagined.
