Ultimate Provence – A Bold New Take on the Provencal Wine Estate
Where Urban Design Meets Vineyard Tradition
A Wine Estate, Reimagined
Less than an hour’s drive from Saint-Tropez, Ultimate Provence defies expectations of a traditional vineyard stay. Instead of rustic stone and farmhouse chic, this 34-room property blends raw concrete, marble, aged oak, brass, and leather, thanks to the vision of Monaco-based design studio Humbert & Poyet. “We sought to overturn traditional design codes by merging raw materials with refined elements,” explains cofounder Emil Humbert. The result is urban sophistication framed by the sun-soaked vineyards of Provence.
Design, Inside and Out
The hotel’s interiors balance elegance and cosmopolitan style. Lounge and bar spaces are wrapped in Aegean blue walls, glowing under brass light fixtures and flowing seamlessly into a tasting room, cellar, and restaurant via metal-and-glass partitions. Christophe Poyet, the studio’s other cofounder, notes: “The interplay of light and open perspectives was key in shaping the space.”
The guestrooms take on warmer tones, with raspberry-padded headboards, natural fiber wallpaper, and abstract modernist prints adding softness and color. The aesthetic extends to the lively lounge terrace, where the design meets the landscape without losing its contemporary edge.
Flavors of Provence
The restaurant and bar celebrate the region’s seasonal bounty while highlighting wines produced on the estate. Here, tasting flights and pairings feel as stylish as the setting—uncomplicated yet urbane, much like the concept itself.
