From Historic Hotel to Stylish Retreat
Set along Noordwijk’s breezy seaside promenade, Vesper occupies the former Hotel Clarenwijk, first built in 1904. Brothers Michiel and Martijn van den Berg, together with Paris-based architect Bart Akkerhuis and interior designers Miriam Irle and Philipp Molter, have reimagined the property as a warm, inviting escape that blends history with contemporary style.
Design and Atmosphere
The hotel’s 35 light-filled guest rooms are individually furnished with handpicked vintage design pieces, lending each space a distinct personality and a touch of lived-in elegance. Throughout, the interiors balance natural light and airy palettes with tactile details, creating an atmosphere that feels both refined and welcoming.
Historic Details and Modern Comforts
In the lobby, an original 1920s stained glass ceiling takes center stage, paying tribute to the building’s storied past. Guests can unwind in the chic cocktail bar or explore the hotel’s wine cellar, both designed to encourage leisurely moments and social connection.
Beyond the Hotel
Just steps away, Vesper’s lively beach club captures the energy of Noordwijk’s coastline, offering the perfect spot for sunbathing, seaside dining, or simply soaking in the North Sea views.
