At the heart of San Candido stands a building generations of locals once knew as the village bakery and confectionery. Rather than erase those memories, the owners chose to preserve them. Architect Pedevilla transformed the former Stubenrusshaus into a contemporary residence that respects the scale and character of the original structure while introducing a bold new architectural identity. Alpine Minimalism with Character
Wrapped in tinted porphyry, exposed concrete, and timber, ATTO has the quiet confidence of a contemporary mountain monolith. Inside, untreated local spruce softens the architecture with its warmth, fragrance, and tactile quality. Terrazzo floors, polished plaster walls, and carved loggias create interiors that feel remarkably restrained, while recurring rhombus-shaped cut-outs reference traditional South Tyrolean craftsmanship in a subtle contemporary language.
