A Hotel That Refuses to Whisper
In a corner of Cala de Bou, far from Ibiza’s expected whitewashed calm, Los Felices arrives with unapologetic flair—a riot of pastel hues, vintage vibes, and pure mid-century mischief. The latest from Ibiza-born hotelier Diego Calvo, it’s a love letter to Palm Springs glamour, delivered with a Mediterranean beat and an unmistakable wink. For Calvo, hospitality has become too cautious. Los Felices is his answer: a destination in and of itself, where the design speaks loudly and the mood stays light.
Design That Dares to Smile
Created in collaboration with Il Mio Design—the Italian-Madrid based studio behind all of Calvo’s hotels—Los Felices trades restraint for joyful maximalism. Think 1960s resort chic, where fashion meets fiction: banana yellows, cherry reds, candy blues, and vintage silhouettes create a setting that’s as retro as it is rebellious. Each of the 113 rooms is named after a fashion designer—a nod to haute couture nostalgia—and features original campaign imagery and a signature piece from the designer themselves. It’s not a theme. It’s a conversation between decades, set against bold backdrops and curated irreverence.
The Pool, Reimagined
At Los Felices, the pool isn’t just a place to cool off—it’s the centrepiece, the moodboard, the show. Floating sunbeds by Canacana Design, bespoke tile patterns, and custom parasols exclusive to the hotel turn it into a live-in editorial spread. It’s pure sunshine theatre, made for long lounging, camera rolls, and sunset spritzes. You don’t just swim here. You pose, float, savour.
More Than a Mood
Despite the playful palette, Los Felices isn’t a gimmick—it’s grounded in the idea that hospitality should be expressive. That a hotel can be bold, curated, and wildly photogenic without losing its soul. There’s substance in the style, from custom furniture to curated art, and a sense of confidence rare on an island that often plays it sleek and safe.
DNA Hotels Verdict
Los Felices is not a palette cleanser—it’s a palette explosion. It’s for travelers who want more than minimalism, who crave bold shapes, iconic references, and a pool deck that knows exactly what it’s doing. For those bored by blank canvases and craving a stay that radiates character, Los Felices is Ibiza’s most vibrant rebellion yet. Glamorous, joyful, and just a little bit rebellious—exactly how summer should feel.
