A Creative Collaboration
In the heart of Arnhem’s buzzing Modekwartier (Fashion Quarter), Hotel Modez turns a night’s stay into a work of art. Conceived by celebrated Dutch fashion illustrator Piet Paris, the hotel is a collaborative canvas, with over 30 Dutch fashion designers—many linked to Arnhem’s prestigious ArtEZ Institute of the Arts—each shaping a unique guest room or studio. The result? A collection of 20 rooms and 6 studios, each an expression of its creator’s style, from pared-back minimalism to full-throttle maximalist fantasy.
Design That Surprises
The hotel’s brick-and-glass façade gives way to interiors that range from serene to wildly theatrical. Textiles ripple across walls, natural materials bring the outdoors in, and bespoke furnishings make each space feel like a private gallery. The surprise begins at booking—guests don’t choose their room, they discover it on arrival, ensuring each stay tells a different story.
Anchored in Arnhem’s Fashion DNA
Beyond the rooms, Café Caspar serves as the hotel’s social hub, pairing seasonal menus and specialty beers with a lively, art-filled atmosphere. Step outside, and the Modekwartier’s boutiques, artisan workshops, and creative studios are all within strolling distance, offering an immersion into Arnhem’s fashion-forward soul.
DNA Hotels Verdict
Part hotel, part fashion house, Hotel Modez is for travelers who want their stay to be as stylish—and as original—as the city itself.
